Dan Dougherty is an award winning author and illustrator behind several creator-owned comic and children’s books. He is best known for Beardo and Touching Evil, and most recently launched Floppy Cop.
Dan’s career in comics began in 2003. And since then has written and/or illustrated over 50 published works ranging from horror to children’s books. He has won three Shel Dorf awards, the Eric Hoffer Award for Children’s Literature, and two Purple Dragon fly awards. In 2018, he was the recipient of the Gary Reed Award for Independent Creator of the Year.
When Dan isn’t busy making comics, he teaches others how to make them at the International School of Comics in Chicago. He also enjoys writing and recording music and is working on his first solo album. A true renaissance man, indeed.
